The photo above of Mt Rainier was taken Christmas Eve Morning. The view was spectacular... The one below was taken someday after, but I really cannot remember when. It was a couple of days later though. I thought the clouds were cool. If you look closely it is blurry, but hey I was driving!
The first weekend in Feb we took a 3 day trip to Long Beach, WA. Pretty cool trip, neither of us had been there except to just drive through. It was my first time up in a lighthouse. Cool. The lighthouse below is the Northhead Lighthouse. They let you go to the top and it looks out to the Pacific Ocean and South to the Columbia River.
The signs say that Long Beach is the longest beach. Well it was a clamming weekend (tons of people!) and they let you drive on the beach this time of the year, so we thought how far can it be? It's far! We started at the farthest South point and drove North. Took FOREVER! :) It was about 25 miles plenty long enough to get bored.
Last weekend we went for a "morning" hike. Yeah that hike lasted well into mid afternoon. We went to go do the Twin Falls hike up off I-90. Started at the wrong trailhead and it added about 9 miles to the hike! Super cool walk, but I was already getting pretty sore about 8-9 miles in. But we did finish and were glad we had gone. :) The waterfalls were spectacular.
